how much have you spent so far? Hard to say. $6K? Over 2 years. Or, $250/month. : )

The suspension work continued. These plates/guides control the bogie block that slides up and down.

Hi. I have been slowed down figuring out the leaf springs. I found some light camper leaf springs that are close, but too curved. So I learned I can de-arch them, and I just got a press to help me de-arch them. So, I will be experimenting with that, then ordering up the 8 packs of lower leaf springs.

Cool. Thanks for the up date. Any time table when it will be finished?

I have been learning how to make a leaf spring that I can use for the 8 small leaf springs on the tankette. Here is a UNA-168 that I am de-arching: Diamond cuts will be made later:

Your local spring shop can make you whatever leaf springs you want.at least the one near me can

Now I can too. Here is a spring re/de-arching tool I made to fit in my 20-ton press. Seems to work just right.

More work on the suspension. The wheels will be mounted at each end of these little leaf springs. The hinge tube will go on the other side of the pivot plate and allow the assembly to pivot at the end of a slider block.
