So this is the snow cat we purchased this year. It runs great and had no problem driving through 6 inches of snow at 10mph. It has a top speed of 20mph and a potential crew of 6-8 people. We are going to build the hull and turret and install our air cannon this month. I will post pictures as we do the work. (Yes it will have camoflauge paint). Any questions or suggestions feel free to post. I will try and link a video of it driving sometime this weekend.

The tank pivots on a dime to. It can sit in one spot and turn 360. It uses hydraulic brakes to lock up either right or left track and throws the power to the opposing track to turn. It uses a lever steering system as seen in the pics.
I am going to start off by constructing a housing for the rear. This will act as a hull for troops and gear as well as act as the housing for the turret which will be mounted towards the front of the vehicle.
The canon will be PVC pneumatic operating a breech loading system. The trigger will be a modified sprinkler valve with air gun trigger assembly which will run to a duel handle on the rear of the canon. This will allow it to be fired while operating the gun at different horizontal or vertical axis.
The barrel will be approx. 5-6 feet long constructed of 2inch rifled PVC with a under barrel mounted expansion chamber constructed of 3inch PVC measuring 4-5ft in length.
The gun will operate on compressed air regulated, and have all the safety blow off valves ect. After doing the research the canon should function at around 60psi and put out 250fps muzzle velocity. The range should be around 100yards give or take.
The canon will also have sights usable by the gunner and feature a blank adapter which will sound a hell of a report when fired simultaneously with the canon.

The rear of the tank will feature bench seats for a mobile foot unit 4-6 people to deploy from depending on whether a gunner is operating the turret or not. The outside will have mounted racks and gadgets to stow gear ammo and air so that supporting units dont have to leave the field to keep fighting. There also ks plan lf mounting a passenger side machine gun on the roof, but that will be in the future after we get the everything else squared away. Overall this beast moves fast, (and has reverse unlike the hetzer) and will climb over pretty much any terrain. It loves mud, snow and water and even fully loaded shouldn't have problems operating at more then above standard of the average tank.

hahah thats pretty sick man! im a whizz at making cannons if you need any help let me know. also dont forget virtualy no fields will allow your cannon with a pvc airchamber. a fire extinguisher body works great. its obviously made to hold air(usually around 600psi) and it it lightweight. you might need someone with some good welding skills to weld in a pipe nipple to adapt you your sprinker valve

Thanks for the input, I'm torn between your suggestion or the panzersturm (brumbar) tank. Thoughts?

Wow!!! This is awesome. I love it. Were did you get this piece of machinery ? What is this used for/ Polar expeditions ? How much did it cost ? With the right shell ( low profile) it can be a real beast.

Cuts through the snow like a T34!!!
Whatever you decide to do, do it right. You have an excellent platform to build upon.

Yes I agree. Awesome platform to build off. Very interesting to see how it will end up looking like.

The tank we got with the carry trailer for $1500, when we got it it needed some work to get t operational but it didn't take to long. It was made obviously for the snow, normally used on winter hunting expeditions. It was made in 1964.
The look will be a general APC platform with working turret ect. I will def keep you all posted, and yes we will be making sure this baby is done correctly. Today we are discussing designs for the turret and platform.
