That's real a cool idea. Just wondering if during flight the nerf rocket\first strike round might want to start to tumble in mid flight. Just because of the speed and the weight of this projectile. It would be interesting to build one and see how they fly??

ive thought of making a new fin section for the nerfs. styrofoam will never work for more than one shot.but could be great in a target shooting competition.I'll post my prototype in the HQ section when it is complete. Certain technology in our tanks is to remain classified.I will have a revolutionary new round this summer that will deal with the 3 major problems of the nerf. yes the crappy fins and stem section are the first problem .

I think making the tail shaft a little longer would improve range and accuracy.

the problem with the nerf tail shaft is that the plastic stem inside it bends easy and is hard to keep straight. a nerf w a bannana shabed stem isnt going to shoot very straight. the fins are junk too but i think the way those ones we found where cut and glued should work decent

That's the problem you need a very strong plastic shaft enclosed in sponge. wood dowels would be great. But not for shooting in paintball. It would become a spear traveling at 240 fps.
