Just finished our last training session. With our new turret finished and a protection cage for our canon operator. We wanted to make one last run. We set up a 1x1 foot target at 185 feet. We fired 10 rockets. We had no hits. But we did have about five near misses. The other rockets went spiraling out of control. We blame that on bad rockets. Bent shaft or bent fins.

Looks like more snow for Saturday afternoon. I might stay another night at the hotel. Don't really want to tow a trailer back home through a snow storm.

What a great game. Really glad the weather held. It was really gnarly trying to get home last night. At times we could only drive thirty MPH.
Want to thank everyone who showed up. Not to many 1 SS Panzer guys showed up. The Panzer Lerh rocked. What was the final numbers that showed up ? I want to apologize to Adam and Tox for getting us lost. We wasted at least a hour!!! I felt sick abou that. We could have slept another hour or had a big breakfast. But we got there at 0950. I think we all took the field at 1100 hrs. So it was not that bad. Tank inspection ate up at least twenty minutes. Boy are thay strict!!! For a moment, I thought they would not let us use our tank. (why do we need a horn??)
As you all know we got spanked. The allied bazookas were kicking our asses!!. Me and Tox taught that Shaun ( tank reff) was leading us to pre-peppered ambushes. I counted a total of ten kills that AT gunners scored on us. The field was infested with them. I'm not even going to get in to the satchel charges!!!. I just think the unlimited satchel charges was just too much. Tox nailed three of them. One being that Jedi 1 guy. On our daring run to the Allied HQ. Jedi 1 shot at us . but missed. I slowed down. And Tox mowed him down.
I was disappointed to say we only killed two tanks. One was the walking tank, when he was still Allied. I think Matt hit him on the leg. The second tank kill was the OXCC tank. The OXCC tank knocked us out three times in some great duels. There canon shots were just beautiful. They were all long arching, graceful flights. I tracked them coming in. I was thinking , this will over shoot us. But every time the nerf rocket was just dived in on us?? LOL. As you all know how our engagement with Dawns panther turned out . I have his rocket. LOL. I don't know if our new gun mantlets affected Matts aim. I think was had a little bad luck. A lot of our shots just went spiraling in to the air.
At about 1415 hours, General Goose sent us to support attacking infantry at the East Hospital. We made it across the main road , were Tox Knocked out a AT gunner. After that we raced along the northern part of the filed. We had our right flank protected by the giant black net. We were also being supported by at least 15 landsers , who followed closely behind us. We had a close call with another satchel guy. Apparently we were later informed by our tank reff that he went off prematurely. Tox sealed the deal by sending that satchel guy to his maker. We got to about hundred feet from the Allied HQ. Matt placed a well aimed shot at there netting. I know we got there attention. LOL. I wondered what they thought was going on. Later we were awarded most formidable opponent by American general Steven' prettylou ' Steven. At the closing ceremony, he told us that we were the only German forces (player) he had seen all day!!LOL. It was a great moral booster to our crew.
Congrats on Adam killing three Shermans , playing in the AT role. It was weird seeing you run around all day with out your tank. That's six tank kills for you now. I think my tank time for yesterday will be four hour, correct ? That also goes for Tox, Matt and Jake Jake. It was a pleasure having Adam and Wess in our APC on the our last two runs. I just wish we could have taken you on a more action packed run. Next time. Took a bunch of photos. Will post them shortly. everyone who rode in our halftrack, remember to keep track of your time. You can earn your panzer assault badge.

It was a decent game. I wish i had one of my tanks there. I'm confident id have outshot the allied tanks. nothing anyone could do about all the a/t though. They really are getting strict with the rules there. almost to the point where tanking is no fun. Its goofy that we cant stick our head out and look around. I will be sure to talk to them about that before i go to the next BOTB. maybee when your engine is off its ok or something at least for Christs sake.
Isaac your new uni looks GREAT!. I'm jealous! You stuk it out and slugged it out vs ovewhelming odds. Jus t like a real LAH Panzer Man. Maybee in the spring or something we can get together and had a training day or two. it would be good for all of us. I'll shoot some targets with your cannon and see how it is. Then ill be able to tell you if you need to make and changes ect. i'll post some basic stuff on the Panzer training section

There are really cool looking. I know you are spending a lot on your fathers house at LI. Hopefully Saint Nich will leave one for you under your tree next week, HA HA. I want to re- configure the front of our Half track. My gun ports really suck in the front. Just ask TOX. He really had a hard time knocking out enemy AT personnel who were just thirty feet away! I might make the passenger gun port bigger and perhaps make it lower. I was thinking a ball type gun. Also need to make a bigger gun port for the driver , I really cant make a decent shot while I am driving. This halftrack was made with skirmish in mind. Were my personnel in the back could just shoot over the sides. I could just open my door and throw hand grenades out or shoot. Oxcc rules really had our balls tied around wrists. We could not shoot over the sides. I could not shoot out of my window. Also they did not let Matt shoot from his position. That really sealed our fate against those pesky AT gunners. We never had that problem at West point. Only other time we encountered that problem was at the beach at Skirmish. But we also dispatched a lot of enemy AT gunners that day. We made them pay if they got very close to the tank. We could direct the fire of at least five gunners to one AT gunner. I had a very good time at OXCC. I would definitely go back. (I hope my smart phone does not get me lost again) It was a learning experience. We have to learn to fight in any terrain. Hey I'm still a rookie tanker, just ask Adam lol.
I would love to have some training missions. Its just that five hour drive. Hopefully when I get my trailer , I could visit your neck of the woods and train.

On a side note. Don't let that Valken pink paint sit on your uniforms. If it dries on there it will stain PINK!!!
