Sounds like a killer project. Only suggestion I have is to scale it down. 1:1 is ridiculously huge. With a scaled tank you can maneuver better, etc... plus it'll save on the costs. You probably know this already.

We took a loss. EASY company beat us...LOL. But Matt got three more tank kills. We captured (flip flag stations) 6 of them. Someone in our unit won MVP for the German team! Will post up a full report soon with pictures. We are spent........

After action report for Band of Brothers @ Fields of fire CT 2013.
In attendance were LT Mont Sturman Matt, Sturmann Jake, Sturman Jack, Sturmann Billy. Our day started with bad luck. En -route to the field on interstate 95 our turret flipped over and crashed down back on to the APC. My welds failed. The turret was damaged. This would prove bad for Matt later in our day.
The game started at 1000 sharp. We rolled out with five infantry in the APC. We were loaded down. We took the shortest route to our re-spawn. This was a mistake. The road was steep and and full of rocks. We had to un load our infantry and back up. We took a different rout to our base. After about 1100 hrs. We reached our base and started on our first mission. At about 1130 hours. We made history at FOF. We engaged our first tank at a crossroads. The field is very thick and overgrown with vegetation. Most of the trails are triple canopy. Tank action here is up close and personel. Twenty feet sometimes. We engaged our first Sherman (mouthy mimes) tank. We both shot at the same time. We were both knocked at the same time. This was the first recorded tank action at FOF. We went on to take six positions throughout the day. (flip flag stations).
One incident. We were holding a flag station. We were ambushed by Allied personal from the rear and the front simultaneously. They took out two of our panzergreandiers. I took out one in front of our APC with a homemade grenade. I then lobbed two more from the rear of the APC. Another two enemy personel were taken out. I was then taken out when they shot my marker. Gun hits counted at this field. That was the second time we were taken out. Matt dueled out with two other tanks. Knocking them out. We were hit on our tires. We had to sit for 5 mins. Our third time we were knocked. It was a combination of AT hits and lobbed grenades. We were also trying to hold a flag position.
We end up losing the game. But Matt was awarded the MVP by the German General. This was for knocking out enemy tanks. He was in a exposed position getting shot by numerous enemy infantry. Matt also directed fire towards enemy positions and rallied troops to attack positions. We are proud of him.
End of after action report.

Really Cool guys! congrats Matt! .Isaac for $50 you can probably have someone weld that thing up so it doesnt fall apart. Welding is a skilled trade. Neither of us know wtf we are doing obviously. i know when i'm beat so i have nice welds on my frame

You probably know this already. Once he does the math he will see a full scale tiger cant be moved on the road without a very expensive permit
